How to Install an Aircraft Addon
Simple Walkthrough

This topic demonstrates how to add an aircraft addon to Flight Simulator X using Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator X by working step-by-step through the installation of an actual, downloadable aircraft addon. This short walkthrough shows you how to install an aircraft in a few simple steps.

Prerequisites

Our aircraft addon is called Cessna L-19 Bird Dog by Massimo Taccoli, D.G. Seeley, Dennis Seeley, Chris Coarse.

 Download the 3.4 MB zip file to a folder called Addons on your C: drive, if you wish to match-up perfectly with this walkthrough.

Step 1: Start Addit! Pro

The first step is very easy, begin by opening Addit! Pro. Pull down the File menu as shown below then select Install an Addon:

Step 2: Open the Addon Installation Wizard

When the Addon Installation Wizard window appears, press Select Addon Files:

Step 3: Select Addon Files

When the Select Addon Files window appears, locate l19d_fsx.zip. That is the file you downloaded above. Select only this zip file. Make sure all of the files inside the zip file are selected in the Zip File list, as shown below. Press OK:

Step 4: Install the Addon

All colored indicators are either green or yellow back on the Addon Installation Wizard window. To get a quick overview, press Installation Summary. Otherwise, press Finish to complete the installation:

Step 5: Take Her for a Spin!

Finally, start Flight Simulator and select your new Cessna L-19 Bird Dog aircraft and enjoy!
