Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator X

I'd like to reinstall Addit! Pro without losing anything. How can I do this?

To reinstall the program without losing any data, follow these steps

Download a fresh copy of Addit! Pro

Go to http://www.byteforge.com/downloads and download a new copy of the zip file.

Try to repair Addit! Pro

a. Unzip the zip file from the previous step into a new, empty temporary folder on your hard drive.
b. Run Setup.exe.
c. Select Repair.
d. When Setup finishes, run Addit! Pro.

If the problem persists, continue to the next step.

Backup Addit! Pro in preparation for a reinstall

Backup Addit! Pro's database, all subfolders and (optionally) the registry:

If you have Addit! Pro For FS 2004, go to http://www.byteforge.com/products/ap_fs2004/support/article_apfs2004o1.htm for instructions.

Reinstall Addit! Pro

To reinstall Addit! Pro:
a. Use the Windows Add/Remove Programs dialog to remove Addit! Pro. If there are 2 identical entries, you'll need to uninstall twice.
b. Use Windows Explorer to remove any leftover files and folders.
c. Unzip the zip file from step 1 into a new, empty temporary folder on your hard drive.
d. Run Setup.exe.
e. Install Addit! Pro to a folder of your choice.

Restore the backup

Copy back the files you stored in the backup step earlier. You must be sure to copy back the database and all subfolders and (optionally) re-integrate the registry data.
