Installation

Setup issues the error, "Another program or the operating system is locking a file Setup must update."
I can select Yes, No, or Cancel.  Or Setup issues the error "An access violation occurred while copying the file."  I can Abort, Retry, or Ignore the error.

The Setup program is having trouble installing some files.  Is there any other way to get them installed?

I am getting a wrong version of runtime dll message at the beginning of the setup process.

I have tried everything but the program just won't install.  Any other ideas?

Immediately after running SETUP.EXE I get the error "Failure Writing to the System Registry. The registry may be corrupt, or you may not have the required permissions to write to the registry."

SETUP.EXE says Flight Simulator 98 (or the Flight Shop Converter) is not installed on my PC.  But it is installed!

 

General Troubleshooting

When I start the program I get the error "Error loading information for Product ID processing." or "Error validating product ID ><, ><".   If I look on the About screen, the product ID appears as 'Error ()'.  If I use a zip function I get the error "Application-defined or object-defined error."  Why is this happening?

The program takes a long time to load, 30 seconds or more, and performs slowly thereafter.  What's causing this?

I'm getting the error "Component XXXXXXXX.OCX not correctly registered: file is missing or invalid.".  What can I do?

After choosing Install An Addon, I see the Select Files screen.  I can highlight the files I want to install but can't go any further.   Help!

I installed an aircraft but it does not appear in Flight Simulator.

I tried to select a new panel for one of my aircraft but the panel was not listed.  What's going on?

Registration

I have Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator 98.  Will I be able to upgrade to Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator 2000 when it comes out?

I want to register but the program can't generate a Product ID number.  If I look on the About screen, the product ID appears as 'Error ()'.  What should I do?

How do I register Addit! Pro?

I lost my unlocking number.  How do I get a new one?
