Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator
X
Version 7.1.2 is ready! This release adds new
capabilities while enhancing existing features to bring you
the best companion program for FSX!
What is Addit! Pro? It's is a comprehensive addon
manager for Flight Simulator X. Easily install, manage and remove
aircraft, adventures, flights, flight plans, gauges,
missions, panels, A.I. airport and facilities data, scenery,
sounds, textures, videos, weather and more! Archive add-ons
to Addit! Pro's File Cabinet or recreate them in zip files.
Modify your aircraft, panels and sounds. Automatically
update FS's Scenery Library.
Take advantage of Addit! Pro's new RAR file
support to
install from rar files just as you do with zip files.
No outside
program is required, everything is built into Addit! Pro!
Nearly all
WinRAR formats are supported. RAR support was also added to
Windows Explorer’s content menu -- Just right click on a RAR
file and pick “Install to FSX using Addit! Pro”.
Assigning
pictures during installation is much improved. A
new picture list replaces the Set Picture window. Simply
select a picture from the picture list to assign it to the
addon. You get
faster
selection since you no longer need to open and use a Set
Picture screen,
easier
selection since there are fewer clicks and less guesswork,
and you can quickly and easily see the images
included with the addon (or tell if there are none at all).
Addon
installation has improved
for a number of addons to make installation faster, cleaner
and easier so you can get up in the air faster with fewer
“red dot” issues.
Addit! Pro
now automatically marks most duplicate files “do not
install” for you, to save time and disk space and to
avoid file conflicts. There is also
improved
picture assignment
for aircraft and panel addons.
The Addon
File lists in most Addon Installation Wizard windows gain
a new
Archive File column to reveal which zip or rar file
contains the addon files. A new checkbox in
the Select Installation Method box allows you to toggle installation of the
current group of files with one click.
This release includes
other changes and additions, updates to the Help system and bug fixes. Please see
the Revision History for complete
details.
Below are some screenshots. From left to
right: new rar file support; integrated picture selection
replaces the old Set Picture window; and a new checkbox to
toggle file installation plus the new archive file column:

Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator
X
Version 7 is ready! Now you can enjoy the speed and
ease of Addit! Pro's robust addon management for Microsoft
Flight Simulator X. This major release adds new
functionality while enhancing existing features to bring you
the best companion program for FSX!
What is Addit! Pro? It's is a comprehensive addon
manager for Flight Simulator X. Easily install, manage and remove
aircraft, adventures, flights, flight plans, gauges,
missions, panels, A.I. airport and facilities data, scenery,
sounds, textures, videos, weather and more! Archive add-ons
to Addit! Pro's File Cabinet or recreate them in zip files.
Modify your aircraft, panels and sounds. Automatically
update FS's Scenery Library.
Use the new FS Configuration Manager to
maintain a set of unique FSX.CFG files. Create one for daily
flying, another to tackle demanding scenery and another for
custom realism settings for rotorcraft.
You can name the CFG files however you like and even include
a description. Switch among them with ease.
Install an addon even faster by right-clicking on
its zip file in Windows Explorer. Simply select "Install To FSX using Addit! Pro"
from the menu. Addit!
Pro launches automatically and immediately opens an Addon Installation
Wizard window where the addon is pre-selected for you. This
makes for speedy
installations!
Tweak FSX missions during installation by
opening the new Configure Missions window. Opt to
install a mission to the folder chosen by Addit! Pro or to a
folder of your choice. Quickly adjust the mission
category (e.g. Pilot For Hire, Emergency, etc.) in just two
clicks.
Addit! Pro takes on a new look-and-feel
along with an enhanced Toolbar
that is now fully customizable. You can turn the toolbar on and off,
toggle captions, toggle the new submenus, change the overall style and
choose which buttons are shown. Submenus are new and allow access to other
features by clicking on the drop-down arrow on a button.
The
Repair Addon feature found in the Edit Aircraft, Edit
Panels and Edit Sounds windows now uses Flight Simulator
2004 files to help repair addons. This is very handy when
using FS 2004 addons that assume you have FS 2004 effects,
gauges, sounds, etc. If you lack such items the Repair
feature can search FS 2004 and copy over any required files
automatically.
Addit! Pro handles new FSX file types
including missions,
rewards
files, texture configuration files, DLL panel gauge collection files
and more. Aircraft, panel, scenery and sound thumbnail
pictures can now be automatically limited in size to
keep image sizes small. For aircraft thumbnails,
this means Flight Simulator's aircraft list
will display faster. The Configure Aircraft window gets a
Change Category button so you can easily install an
aircraft to any category
(e.g. Airplanes, Rotorcraft, etc.) in just two clicks!
This release includes
even more changes and additions, updates to the Help system and some bug fixes. Please see
the Revision History for complete
details. Here are some screenshots:
