Zhyhulskiy. This great addon exhibits the Antonov AN-2T Northern Ski
version light universal transport, an extremely durable, light,
single-engine biplane which first flew in 1947. It is used as a light

We feature FSX Douglas DC-6 (early version) this
month, a high quality multi-model package created by Jens B. Kristensen. This robust package includes
a 2D panel based on a DC-9 flight manual, a fully flyable virtual cockpit,
several aux

The Douglas DC-6 / DC-7 family of
transports were the most successful, four-engine ‘propliners’.
The prototype DC-6 was built to a military contract
as the XC-112 in 1945. A development of the earlier
DC-4 / C-54, it had a longer, pressurized fuselage
with square windows, more powerful engines and an
improved de-icing system. (Source: package documentation)

Avanti V2.0 by Mario Noriega.
This robust package includes 11 visual models featuring animated gears,
dampers, propellers, doors, control surfaces and a dynamic and clickable
virtual cockpit.
The Piaggio P-180 Avanti is a luxury
jetprop. Its design is the result of a "thinking
outside the box" project philosophy. It means that
building techniques are standard while aerodynamics
are unique for it's kind. It features a three
lifting surface design, laminar flow wing and twin
pusher turboprop configuration. Passenger comfort
features the possibility of standing in feet inside
the plane, low noise due to pusher propellers and "Pininfarina"
designed arrangement. (Source: package documentation)

Our featured aircraft this month is Cessna L-19 Bird
Dog by
Massimo Taccoli, D.G. Seeley, Dennis Seeley, and Chris Coarse.
The model, made with FSDS has many moving parts: flaps, ailerons,
rudder, elevator, steerable tail wheel linked to the rudder, rotating
wheels and skis with suspension, opening right side door and the above
right side window. It also has a detailed interior including a pilot

States Air Force, Army and Marines. It was developed
as the winner of a 1950 competition for a new
two-seat, single-engine observation plane. The planes
were used in various utility roles such as artillery
spotting, front-line communications, medevac and
training. During the Vietnam War, the planes were
used for reconnaissance and forward air control.
